MSSV and Shellshag at Mercury Lounge
On Sunday, April 3, 2022, the band known as MSSV (Main Steam Stop Valve) featuring Stephen Hodges on drums, Mike Baggetta on guitar, and Mike Watt on bass headlined an early show at Mercury Lounge in New York, NY. The band originally planned to tour behind their record Main Steam Stop Valve in 2020 but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Their Haru tour began in Watt’s hometown of San Pedro, CA and will end in Los Angeles on April 30th.
Joining them for their show at Mercury Lounge was local duo Shellshag who promptly began their performance at 5:30PM starting with “There For You,” and ending their ten song set with “Forever,” and turning their instruments into a tower.
