On Friday, May 6, 2022, Spoon and Margaret Glaspy ended their tour together in New York, NY at Hammerstein Ballroom. Spoon was joined by Glaspy for a cover and special surprise guest Dan Boeckner (Divine Fits/Wolf Parade/Arcade Fire) joined the band for two songs to end the show, including a cover of a Wolf Parade song (“Modern World”). The concert was originally scheduled to take place last month but was rescheduled due to COVID.

This was my first live Spoon performance in over a decade and I’m so grateful to cover this special concert for both Bowery Presents (as my first show for them) and BrooklynVegan. The Bowery Presents gallery and review is available here, and the BrooklynVegan post can be found here.
