Kelela and Liv.e at BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! at Lena Horne Bandshell
On Saturday, July 8, 2023, Kelela and Liv.e performed at BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! at Lena Horne Bandshell at Prospect Park. The highly anticipated show had fans lining up outside the park as early as 1PM in the afternoon for an event with 6:30PM doors.
I was extremely excited to cover this show as a house photographer, especially since I loved documenting Kelela’s performance at Webster Hall back in March. I anticipated her performing on stage alone again but she started out being accompanied by Jason Moran on piano, and then switched to performing solo for the remainder of her 90 minute set.
