On Sunday, August 27, 2023, the penultimate free concert of Union Pool’s “Summer Thunder” concert series took place in the patio of the venue.

There was a live performance by Sun Ra Arkestra, who played two sets, separated by a break. Many people arrived to catch the free show, with a long line wrapping along Meeker Avenue and forming down Frost Street before doors opened at 2PM.
