On Wednesday, February 7, 2024, the tour featuring DJ Shadow and Holly came to Webster Hall for an evening featuring the two DJs. Shadow’s newest album, Action Adventure, was released late last year and is his seventh studio album. In 2002, two people asked me in the same day if I had heard his 1996 debut album, Endtroducing, and I took it as a sign that I should run over to Tower Records and buy it immediately, which I did, and loved it. Shortly afterwards, I was able to attend his show at Bowery Ballroom in support of The Private Press. I felt very fortunate to capture his performance all these years later. He informed the audience it was his first headlining set in New York City in nearly a decade.
