Hot Dog in the City in Times Square

art

If you find yourself in Times Square between now and June 13th, you can see a 65-foot-long hot dog on Broadway and W. 46th Street. The giant hot dog sculpture is the creation of artists Jen Catron and Paul Outlaw and is called “Hot Dog in the City.” Each day just before noon, the hot dog is elevated towards the sky, and a burst of confetti shoots out of the tip of it at 12PM.

I captured photos of the hot dog after the Midnight Moment on Friday, May 10th and returned before noon on Wednesday, May 22nd during my lunch break to create the photos in this gallery.

You can also vote for your favorite hot dog condiment (you can only choose one!) on the Times Square Arts website with the winner being announced on at noon on Thursday, June 13th.
