Patio and Washer (solo) at Union Pool

Celebrating the tenth anniversary of their first live show, NYC’s Patio headlined Union Pool in Brooklyn on Saturday, October 4, 2025. On Sunday, October 4, 2015, the trio held their first live set at Palisades (only a few miles away in Bushwick) during a CMJ showcase (there’s a video of a song from that set available on YouTube). Opening the show was Washer, with singer/guitarist Quigley performing a solo set due to drummer Kieran McShane being ill. Noting Kieran’s absence, Mike joked to the crowd, “This next song requires drums, but here we are!”

Patio took the stage after 9PM and ended up dedicating a song to Patio fan of the week, Gabe, who was unable to attend the show due to the birth of his child. Loren joked that he is such a huge fan of the band to time his child’s birth on the tenth anniversary of their first ever live set.

The room at Union Pool was filled with friends and fans of both acts and felt similar to attending shows at DIY spaces like Palisades, well, ten years ago. Infinite thanks to Alice, LP, and Loren for performing ten years after their very first show and extra special thanks to Loren for notifying me at the last Patio concert I attended in September 2024 that they’d play a 10th anniversary show on 10/4/25, so I marked my calendar 13 months ago to make sure I’d be able there on Saturday night as I missed their debut a decade ago.
