Goldie and Takuya Nakamura at Elsewhere
On Saturday, April 19, 2025, Goldie concluded his recent tour at Elsewhere in Brooklyn, NY.
The legendary DJ and producer was backed by a live band which performed songs both old and new for a sold out crowd. In addition to performing live vocals, he also served as conductor for the band, displaying envious amounts of energy throughout the hour long set. Before beginning “I Adore You” and bringing out vocalist Natalie Williams, he announced he normally doesn’t do this, but there was someone who had something to say, and handed his microphone to a gentleman located to my left. The person asked his partner to marry him, she said yes and we all cheered. Williams sang “Adore” plus “Inner City Life” before the extremely fun show came to an end at 10:30PM.
Takuya Nakamura was the opening act who began his set at 8:00PM and performed solo for a few songs before bringing out CURRENCY to accompany him on drums.
