COVID-19 Part Eleven
This next gallery of photos are film photos that were taken in October and early November 2020. During these months, we saw more friends, spent Halloween day looking at decorations, visiting the local branch of our library that became haunted for the day, witnessed a dog costume contest in McCarren Park (plus saw additional dogs in McGolrick Park in Greenpoint). Because of COVID-19, many people outfitted their homes with tubes to deliver candy or left bowls out for kids to help themselves.
We attended our first in person birthday party since the pandemic began, and I visited Chelsea and the Highline park after a doctor’s appointment and saw many stores who boarded up their windows due to (somewhat) misguided fears about looting. We voted early and I saw a guy in a UHaul van ask me to take his photo before the light changed. We spent the first Saturday in November at MoMA PS1 to check out their exhibits and traveled back to Brooklyn from Long Island City via the ferry.
