COVID-19 Part Twelve
This next gallery of photos are 35mm film photos that were taken in November 2020. On Friday, November 13th, Eric and I went to The Noguchi Museum in Long Island City for the first time in many months. It was a rainy day so we spent most of our time indoors looking at art and spent a few moments in their garden before heading to Socrates Sculpture Park nearby before heading back home. The following day, I attended another pop-up, outdoor show done by Rebelmatic, who were joined by The 1865, and another act that I missed called Action Park. It was the first time I’ve seen Stephanie since the pandemic began, and got to shoot alongside her with Kate and Ellen while trying to avoid traffic.
I visited a former coworker Kai, who ended up being our hookup for the newest in demand game system, the Sony PS5. I took the G train to pick up records from Ranjit and got to see his dog Peter on an unseasonably warm day. He lives close to Prospect Park so I walked over to visit the bandshell that has hosted so many concerts that I’ve seen over the years and it hit me that the summer of 2020 was the first one that I hadn’t been there at all. Starting in October, the bandshell hosts an art piece by a duo called Brooklyn Hi-Art! Machine that I got to take pictures of while doing a short walk in the park before returning home.
Since I had the day off on Black Friday, I went into Manhattan to run a few errands, including buy candy at Economy Candy, only to discover they were still closed for the Thanksgiving holiday.
