The Return of OLMC Feast

In 2020, the annual Our Lady of Mount Carmel Feast was canceled for the first time since World War II due to large gatherings being banned in New York state because of COVID-19.

In 2021, the feast returned to Williamsburg, Brooklyn and I attended Giglio Sunday earlier today on Sunday, July 11th, featuring a first lift at 1:30PM. Before the first lift occurred, a blessing of the Giglio was done by a priest. Guardian Angels founder and New York Republican Mayoral Candidate, Curtis Sliwa, was one of the people participating in the first lift of the massive four ton statue.

The remaining OLMC Feast schedule is available here, and you can support the feast here.
