On Thursday, July 7, 2022, the tour featuring Circle Jerks, 7 Seconds, and Negative Approach finally came to Irving Plaza. Circle Jerks planned to tour in 2020 in honor of the 40th anniversary of their album, Group Sex but couldn’t due to the coronavirus pandemic. Then two years later, it was the 40th anniversary of another record, Wild in the Street, so the tour ended up commemorating both of their albums. Unfortunately, the show was scheduled to take place back in April but was postponed to July due to members of the band contracting COVID-19.

I captured the first night of two nights at Irving Plaza and it took place 20 years after I first saw the band live at Irving and I haven’t seen Negative Approach since 2006. More photos from the show are now available on the venue’s Facebook page here.
