Ibrahim Maalouf, Hermanos Gutiérrez, and Little Moon at BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! at Lena Horne Bandshell

On Saturday, July 1, 2023, French-Lebanese trumpeter, producer, arranger, and composer Ibrahim Maalouf headlined a free show at BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! at Lena Horne Bandshell in Prospect Park. Maalouf has performed on NPR Music’s Tiny Desk in the past, and the first act to take the stage on Saturday was the most recent winner of the NPR Music’s Tiny Desk Contest, Little Moon. Hermanos Gutiérrez, who have also appeared on Tiny Desk, were the third act on the bill, and were joined by Adrian Quesada of Black Pumas for a few songs.

Some of the images I captured for BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! appear in the gallery above. There are images by myself and Ellen Qbertplaya available on BRIC’s Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram accounts as well.

You can find the full lineup for the rest of BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! festival season here.
