Bilal and DJ Miss Hap at The Adam Space (BAMcafé)

The BAM Free Music series for 2025 began on a bitterly cold Thursday, January 9th at The Adam Space (BAMcafé) in Brooklyn, NY. The evening started after doors opened at 7PM with a DJ set by Miss Hap who spun until Bilal and his band consisting of Randy Runyon on guitar, Tone Whitfield on bass, and Joe Blaxx on drums took the stage. After their set, DJ Miss Hap DJed again until the program came to an end at 10PM.

I captured the evening for BAM and some images from the show are available in the above gallery. The free music series will continue through June and more information regarding the remainder of the performances can be found on BAM’s website here.

Also, Bilal performed at NPR’s Tiny Desk and that performance is now available on the NPR site.
