On Saturday, July 26, 2025, BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! held the second part of their Tribute to Quincy Jones at Lena Horne Bandshell in Prospect Park centered around the 1978 film The Wiz. Attendees were encouraged to dress in costume for a costume contest, and there was a pre film screening panel featuring Schele Williams (Director of The Wiz revival on Broadway and author), Dede Ayite (Tony Award-winning Broadway costume designer), and Bobby Wooten III (composer, musician, and producer), moderated by Dylan Green, Hearing Things co-founder and creator of the Reel Notes podcast. There was also DJ sets by April Hunt and an 8PM screening of the film.
