Lambrini Girls and Edging at Racket

On Wednesday, September 25, 2025, Brighton, UK’s Lambrini Girls returned to New York City for their second sold out headlining concert in less than a year (they previously headlined Bowery Ballroom on April 30th) in support of their excellent debut record, Who Let The Dogs Out?

The trio, fronted by Phoebe Lunny, was joined by Chicago’s Edging for an opening set that promptly began at 8PM, with Lambrini Girls starting their set an hour later. Lambrini Girls’ setlist comprised of songs from their debut album (“Big Dick Energy,” “Company Culture,” “Bad Apple,” “Filthy Rich Nepo Baby,” “No Homo” and “Cuntology 101” to close the show), plus songs from previously released EPs (“Help Me, I’m Gay,” “God’s Country,” “Lads Lads Lads,” “Mr. Lovebomb,” “Craig David,” and “Boys in the Band”). Lambrini Girls’ bassist Selin Macieira-Boşgelmez is currently taking a break from touring and Kaitlin Pelkey (of the band Big Girl) filled in brilliantly and equally matched Phoebe’s energy.

Throughout the night, Lunny would cleave the floor in two and encourage people to crouch down, dance and mosh, and naturally people obliged. For the closing song of “Cuntology 101,” many attendees crowdsurfed their way to the stage to dance along with Lambrini Girls, and members of Edging.

Before performing “Boys in the Band,” Phoebe spoke about the need for people to call out their male friend’s shitty and abusive behavior in the music scene and asked that anyone who didn’t identify as a cis straight white male dance on the floor.

Lambrini Girls fantastic performance clocked in just under an hour (people were exiting the room before 10PM) and I’m very much looking forward to seeing them again on Saturday at CBGB Fest at Under the K Bridge Park. I last caught Lambrini Girls in December at Baby’s All Right before the release of the record and images from that show are available here.
