Bike Kill 2022
On Saturday, October 29, 2022, the 18th annual Bike Kill event took place in New York City. The gathering of so-called mutant bikes, as well as scooters and even a couch, was coordinated by Black Label Bike Club and features people of all ages riding on a dead end street in Brooklyn, NY. This year’s event (along with last year’s) occurred in the neighborhood of Red Hook. Since it was the Saturday before Halloween, many participants wore costumes.
I attended for the first time on Saturday afternoon and captured the images in the above gallery. Unfortunately, I had another event scheduled that evening and missed out on the jousting and other excitement that came after the sun had set. Bike Kill is an event that I’ve been meaning to attend for years and I’m so glad I could finally experience it during the 18th edition and I’m very much looking forward to hopefully being able to spend more time there in 2023.
